Mobile Glaucoma Solutions Program
An MGS consultant sets up a conference call with your office to introduce our service and the GDx Nerve Fiber Analyzer, as well as the Ocular Blood Flow Analyzer.
Clinic protocol is discussed, which includes an agreed-upon schedule of follow-up scanning, specific to your practice. This is implemented to ensure patient confidentiality and the highest degree of professionalism.
A day/time or series of dates is targeted for scheduling patients for the GDx VCC NFA and the Ocular BFA.
Your only responsibility is to schedule patients for that day.
The Exam
Our mobile scanning technician brings the equipment to your facility on the day youve chosen; sets up the tabletop laser scanner, blood flow scanner, and printer; obtains the patient list; and begins administering the quick, simple, non-invasive procedures (each test is administered in less than 3 minutes).
After each procedure is completed, the technician provides a printout of the exam results to your staff. You are only billed for the tests administered!
Insurance Claim
The insurance claim is submitted by your office for the GDx VCC under the code 92135, which is a Unilateral Code, meaning that reimbursement is full for each eye scanned and should be coded as 1 unit in the following manner:
92135RT
92135LT
The insurance claim for the Ocular Blood Flow Analyzer is submitted under the CPT code 92120 Tonography with interpretation and report, recording indentation tonometer method or perilimbal suction method.
Both CPT codes are proven codes for Medicare and nearly all insurance companies in Texas. Most insurance companies reimburse at a higher level than Medicare.
Mobile Glaucoma Solutions does not guarantee reimbursement, but does offer billing assistance for your staff.
